THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced landscape construction foreman to run the field on our high-end residential projects. You will work directly under our Project Manager, taking plans from paper to ground and leading a crew of 2-3 through every phase of site work — hardscape, grading, and plant installation.
You will also have the opportunity to work directly alongside ownership and our Project Manager on technical stonework. Craftsmanship is at the core of who we are, and we want that standard reflected in everyone who leads our crews.
We are not just filling a position. We are building a team for the long term. For the right person there is real room to grow as the company grows.
IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?
This is the right opportunity if you:
Have solid hardscape construction experience and know how to execute it right
Have experience managing plant installations and site work
Can run a skid steer and excavator confidently and safely
Can read a plan and lay it out accurately on site
Understand grading and drainage well enough to get it right the first time
Want to lead a small crew and be accountable for the finished product
Want to sharpen your stone craft alongside ownership and our Project Manager
Are looking for a company that runs organized, high-standard jobs year-round
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Field Leadership:
Run a crew of 2-3 on-site day to day, keeping the job moving and on schedule
Communicate directly with the Project Manager on progress, issues, and material needs
Assign tasks, keep the crew accountable, and maintain a safe, organized site
Construction Work:
Operate skid steers and excavators for grading, digging, and material handling
Execute grading, drainage, and job site layout from plan
Lead hardscape installation — patios, walls, walkways, steps
Manage plant installations to spec, including layout, placement, and planting standards
Read and follow design plans accurately, flagging discrepancies before they become problems
Maintain quality and consistency across every phase — prep, install, and finish
Craft Development:
Work directly alongside ownership and our Project Manager on technical masonry tasks
Build stone craft skills as part of your growth within the company
Growth Path:
Demonstrate consistent leadership and craft to take on more responsibility over time
Work closely with our Project Manager and ownership on process and standards
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Your Experience:
Required: hands-on hardscape construction experience
Required: experience with grading and job site layout
Required: experience managing plant installations
Required: ability to run a skid steer and excavator
Comfortable reading and executing from design plans
Prior crew lead or foreman experience preferred
Stone masonry experience a plus but not required
Your Character:
Reliable and accountable — you show up, you follow through, you own the job
Detail-oriented — you catch problems before they cost time or money
A natural leader — the crew works better because you’re running it
Honest and direct — we have a straightforward culture and we want people who fit it
Practical Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Physical ability to perform demanding outdoor work year-round in Maine
Reliable transportation to job sites
WHAT WE OFFER
$30–$38/hr based on demonstrated skill and experience
3% non-elective 401K — contributed by the company regardless of whether you contribute
Full-time, year-round employment — we work through Maine winters
A genuine growth path as the company grows
Direct exposure to high-end stone craftsmanship under ownership and our Project Manager
A crew culture built on craft, accountability, and mutual respect
Projects you will be proud to have your hands on
